Class A - Wind Band
First Prize - Sarasas Ektra Symphonic Band from Sarasas Ektra School
Second Prize - Triamudom Suksa Wing Symphony Orchestra
Third Prize - Maris Alumni Wind Ensemble, Singapore
Class B – Wind Ensemble
First Prize - Ratwinit Bangkaeo Wind Symphony
Second Prize - Horwang School Wind Ensemble
Third Prize - Saint Joseph Convent Band
Class C – Small Wind Ensemble
First Prize - Horn Pure
Second Prize - Siam Saxophone Quartet
Third Prize - The Tromba Brothers
The Thailand Wind Ensemble Competition to win the His Majesty the king’s cup and total prizes are worth more than 2.5 million baht was organized by the College of Music Mahidol University on November 25 - 29, 2009. The Competition is another Thai music event recognized internationally. It is meant to develop the ensembles and strengthen musicianship. And the celebration of His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s position as a grand artist and cherished possession of the Thai people and the world community.
