Music Performances for Flood-aid Donations by Music Teachers and Students

SarasasEktra is one of the schools
that wishes to give aid to the flood victims and encourage students to feel sympathetic, responsible, be generous and helpful to their fellow members of the community.
Our Secondary Department feels that our students’ talent in music
should be used to help the flood-affected.
Therefore, Music teachers and students went to preform in various locations in Bangkok in order to raise funds.
Folk songs were performed by our Jazz band and String band. There were also Strings and Flute Ensemble and Classical Thai performances.
Ektra Music teachers and students performed in 3 main locations.
First is the BTS Chongnonsri (16-18 Nov) where our Jazz band performed.
Second and third locations are the Siam Gateway (17 Nov) and MBK (17, 21 Nov)
where our String band, Chamber Strings and Classical Thai band performed.
Moreover, our Jazz band received the honor to perform in the AIA Management Dinner (16 Nov) and received donations from the event.
Aside from the music performers, a number of students volunteered to help and support their teachers and friends during the fund raising activity.
The total of the flood-aid fund is 83,344.75 baht.
We appreciate all parties who have supported and made this activity possible.
